And so yesterday I went for my violin Grade 8 exam.

Ladida, I wasn't nervous. I was tired though. The previous day was spent practising in bits meaning I would practise for 5 minutes then stop and moon about for half an hour, then do another 5 minutes and moon again. Until it got late (9 pm) and then only did I feel some desperation and so practised properly until 11pm. Yes Eunice I feel sorry for my neighbours too. It's not like they're very quiet either. Pfft.

Anyway the exam was held in One World Hotel. You know the new one joining to 1U? Yep. It's really nice! Very new and everything, my dad says at least 4 stars. They had a chandelier in the ladies' room for pete's sake, so yeah.

I got there so early. 8.20am.The waiting room(where the teachers and parents of students wait) wasn't even open yet so my mum and I waited until the steward came to open the room and do some registering for me.Since the room had a Kawai electronic piano I sat there to do a bit of practising. Then this family of four, mother father with two kids carrying violin cases came in, and I just couldn't practise anymore. I know they're not judging me or anything but it's just not nice to practise in front of them, what with my mistakes and all summore.

So... I went out into the corridor, right down to the end and tried to open the door leading to the fire staircase. It was locked -.- So I stood there and started playing my first piece from memory. I did get some looks from people who saw me but it was still better than sitting in the waiting room with all the proud parents thinking, "I bet MY kid can play better than THIS girl". Sure.

And yeah, I wasn't nervous! My examiner wasn't exactly sprightly looking (ahem) but he had blue eyes. Aha. Don't worry I'm not falling for him. It seems some people have a theory: I like older men. PFFT. Well anyway this examiner was quite nice lah, pointing out my aural mistakes in a very nice manner.

I'm just surprised I wasn't nervous/anxious/scared/fidgety. I usually am right before a music exam.

And oh, I saw the House DVD box set! RM149.90 at Video Ezy. I'm still pissed though because I've been to almost every other movie shop there is and they have everything except House.

Oh, everything. From Heroes Season 1 to all seasons of Grey's Anatomy, from 24 to Alias, from Gilmore Girls to The Unit, from Monk to Friends, from Six Feet Under to The Bionic Woman and Six Million Dollar Man. Oh, but not House. Mmmm. I'm trying to console myself by thinking that maybe it's just so popular that people have been buying all the stock and that's why they don't have any on display. Maybe.

class trip!

Update!

Links are fixed, profile's set except for the picture, and I can't get the code for titles to appear.

So my posts now have no title.

But that's okay, right?

So let's see, a couple of weeks back 4 Omega went on a class trip :)

We were supposed to go to FRIM but something's up with the bridge so we decided to go next year and this time go to Amberstone Resort instead. Some place in Ulu Yam.

The boys. While waiting for the bus in the kantin.

on the bus :) it was a nice bus too, well maintained. Yay!

I think this is a dam. Not sure what the name is but it was beautiful. When we rounded the corner and got the first glimpse everyone went "woahhh" all together.

the resort. UGH the maintenance was really bad. Let's just say that "resort" doesn't mean Awana Kijal or something, it means a small building with a couple of room for offices and what Dic calls a pagoda place - the eating area, which is the picture above. The rooms are these tiny hut things - Mr Jacob said those are the A units or something like that. My memory is failing me. But yeah they're the As because they're shaped like As. You know how huts are shaped like As.

So we had breakfast, then we met our ranger for the day. He gave a brief intro of the jungle trek ahead and etc etc.

I slept a long time last night, not long enough though.

But the point is, I had lots of dreams.

And in one of them, I learnt how to drive!!!

I just remembered it. Pfft I get all these dreams and only hours/days later I remember what it was about.

But it was cool. My parents were teaching me how to drive. They seemed pretty confident and I was too, until I got in the driver's seat and realized I didn't know how to do much. In the end I didn't really drive, I just learnt how to, though I doubt those were real driving skills I learnt in the dream. More likely skills my subconscious thought were highly possible.

O well I haven't got that much longer till I am legally allowed to drive :D

muahahaha! and yeah suddenly I'll be everyone's best friend, as my godsis was telling me. Suddenly they're all eager to go yumcha, and "Oh, you can drop me off at this place on the way back right?" Like she said. Suddenly any place in Selangor is "on the way".
